Ways to help you create a sucessful tour .

Member Artist Marketing Timeline

 

10–12 Weeks Before the Tour

  • Announce your participation.

  • Update your website and social media.

  • Add the Tour to your email signature.

  • Begin inviting past customers, family, and friends.

  • Start handing out brochure/maps as soon as they are available.

 

6–8 Weeks Before

  • Post photos of new work.

  • Share behind-the-scenes images and videos.

  • Deliver brochures to coffee shops, libraries, restaurants, galleries, and local businesses.

  • Contact your hometown newspaper and community calendar.

  • Tell local organizations you're participating.

 

4 Weeks Before

  • Post on social media 2–3 times each week.

  • Hang posters where permitted.

  • Personally invite collectors and previous customers.

  • Share official Tour posts.

  • Encourage friends and followers to share your posts.

 

2 Weeks Before

  • Post every few days.

  • Show finished work and your studio preparations.

  • Restock brochure locations.

  • Remind people of the Tour dates, hours, and your location.

  • Share what makes your studio unique.

 

1 Week Before

  • Post daily if possible.

  • Share short videos or Reels.

  • Send a final email or newsletter.

  • Put up roadside signs (where permitted and at the appropriate time).

  • Make sure your studio is ready to welcome visitors.

 

Tour Weekend

  • Greet visitors warmly.

  • Keep brochures and business cards available.

  • Encourage visitors to explore other Tour studios.

  • Share photos and updates throughout the weekend.

  • Collect email addresses for future events if you maintain a mailing list.

 

After the Tour

  • Thank visitors on social media.

  • Follow up with customers.

  • Share your favorite photos from the weekend.

  • Make notes about what worked well for next year's Tour.
