Artist Statement
It’s never easy to write about myself. So much of a long, winding life is woven into every piece I create. My journey has been full of lessons, detours, and returns home to myself through art.
At 20, I fell in love with clay. Thirty years later, after an accident and brain injury, my path expanded into fused glass, silk scarf dyeing, and mixed media explorations. Today, I think of myself as a jack of many creative trades—quasi-retired, differently abled, and deeply grateful to still be making.
Art is how I keep my balance, how I play with my creative heartstrings, and how I continue to discover who I am (and who I am not). Welcome to my basket case—woven with humor, resilience, and joy
